Efficient plasma-catalysis coupling for CH4 and CO2 transformation in a fluidized bed reactor: Comparison with a fixed bed reactor

The transformation of methane and carbon dioxide by coupling plasma catalysis was investigated using a fluidized bed reactor the results, in terms reactant conversion yields products, were compared with those obtained fixed reactor. A series alumina, including commercial sample various meso-macro materials synthesized laboratory, tested this study. Their surface areas varied from 260 to 312 m2 g?1 depending on their calcination temperature. correlation between area alumina highlighted for plasma-fluidized bed, best conversions being reached presenting highest area. CH4 increased 8.5 12.1% S = respectively CO2 3.4 6.2% deposited power 4 W, an excess CO2. This not corroborated It proves that efficient can be expected as soon solid particle are moving gas flow, enhancing plasma-surface interaction.
